my offerings are rooted in unconditional love, presence, and the ongoing curiosity of meeting people exactly as they are, and for who they are becoming.
as a queer practitioner on a path of service, grounded in gratitude and devotion to connection, I try my best not to make assumptions. instead, I listen. I witness. I respond.
i descend from peoples of western europe including denmark, sweden, scotland, ireland, wales, england, and iceland.
i live and base my practice on the unceded homelands of the southern pomo and coast miwok peoples, also known as sabastopol, california.
my own path has been winding –
full of shifts, grieving, healing, and discovery...

i began my working life in the corporate world, had an ‘ah ha’ moment whilst on a business trip in China a few years in. I left that path and in 2008 found my way to farming, in 2009 to bodywork, and a few years later to doula care and circle singing as a way to tend to wellness and connection.
in 2020, I experienced a back injury and pulmonary embolisms which were life altering. these injuries brought me even deeper into the understanding that healing takes time and that sometimes stuff just happens- without pathologizing why it did, and that we can show up well to each moment with care no matter what.

my teachers
I give thanks to all of my teachers and their teachers before them for passing on powerful tools and pathways of connection.
This includes DeAnna Batdorff of Dhyana Essentials (Ayurvedic bodywork, including chest/breast care), Katia Sol/Christopher Kuntzsch/James Stark -The Ecology of Leadership (earth and human relational tending ways) , Pamela Samuelson (jaw/pelvic work), Maria and Linda Yraceburu (energy work), Ann Rosencranz/Dana Wicks/ Lisa Davern/ Michelle Haviar (ceremonial ways), Michelle Vesser (herbalism and death doula care), Elizabeth Davis (birth doula/midwifery care), Greta de la Montagne (herbalism and body tending).
Also teachers at the former Sebastopol School of Massage (Swedish/Esalen style massage), The Acupressure Institute of Berkeley, and Tul’ix Indigenous Arts (formerly Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy), to name a few.
I also thank the elements, more than human kin and ones in the unseen who teach me, support me and guide my way.
May I be a vessel of care that honors their wisdom.

I also honor my ancestors, especially my Grandmothers Josephine and Wilma and Wilma’s grandmother, who were listeners and community tenders in body and spirit.

I believe care should be accessible and actionable. My aim is to offer self-care and community care education in ways that are digestible and supportive—not overwhelming or gatekept.
In addition to one-on-one sessions, I’m here to gather together in community and facilitate connection via song circles and tending to our bodies together in groups-particularly tending to our chests/breasts.
I often ask: how do we help heal the separation that permeates our culture? This question fuels me, keeps me present, and opens/breaks/activates my heart.

approach
& values
i am here as an instrument of service and unconditional love to support you on your journey of connection so that you can listen deeply and participate in life the ways you feel called to...
whether you come to me in a time of transition, grief, maintenance, or in a desire to be attended, you will be received with full presence.
our time together is centered in consent and confidentiality. i acknowledge that you know your body in a way that is different from how i can sense things. i trust your inner tracking and respond to any needs that arise whilst we are together.

during our time together I’ll use some combination of techniques including the following:
lymphatic drainage, Swedish Esalen massage. acupressure holds, gua sha, cupping, energy work, abdominal care, prenatal and postpartum techniques, jaw and pelvic release, Ayurvedic-informed chest, breast & armpit care, and scar tissue remediation.
my work honors the layered nature of healing. I value listening deeply, responding intuitively, and working with what’s present. never forcing, never rushing. with each session, I meet you where you are, drawing from a wide toolkit and trusting the natural unfurling of your body’s wisdom.

i believe that receiving care is not just personal, it’s political. in a world that often tells us to go it alone, choosing community care is an act of defiance. It reminds us that interdependence is not weakness, it’s wisdom. when we allow ourselves to be supported, we create ripples that nourish the wider web of relationships we’re part of.
